Coach Burrell has been with the swimming and diving program at North Oconee since the school opened in 2004. Prior to coaching, he swam competitively throughout high school for the Athens Bulldog Swim Club and Oconee County High School. Coach Burrell earned a swim scholarship to UNC-Wilmington where he competed for four years while earning a B.S. degree in Accounting. He also has a M.Ed. in Secondary Math Education from UGA, and recently completed an Ed.S in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. Coach Burrell teaches 7th Grade Social Studies & Math at Malcom Bridge Middle School. He also is the athletic director at Malcom Bridge Middle. When he is not working, Coach Burrell enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisha, his sons, Luke, Beau, and Bennett and daughter Bailey.

Coach O'Mara has been with the North Oconee swim & dive program. since the fall of 2015. She has been teaching in the NOHS in the science department since 2014. Prior to teaching at NOHS, she taught Veterinary Science at the Grayson Technical Program at Grayson High School. She attended the University of Georgia and received a bachelor's degree in Animal & Dairy Science and earned her master's in Agricultural Leadership & Education. Coach O enjoys spending time with her husband, CJ, and two boys, Connor & AJ. Her goal is to provide better communication for the Titan Tide including an updated website and Remind account for announcements. She also hopes to help the members of the team build strength and endurance through their dry-land workouts.

This is Coach Marilyn's third year with the Titan Tide. She has swam competitively since she was 5 years old and currently serves as the Head Coach for the East Athens Sea Turtles. Coach Marilyn is a Kindergarten teacher at High Shoals Elementary. She earned her Bachelors in Special Education, Birth through Kindergarten at the University of Georgia and recently finished her Gifted Endorsement. She plans to begin working towards her Master's degree starting next year. Outside of coaching and teaching, Coach Marilyn is an active runner and is enjoying the challenge of training for her first half marathon. She enjoys the family-like atmosphere of the North Oconee swim team and looks forward to another successful season.
